I need to finish reading Wolf Hall. Instead--thank goodness--it's [almost] Friday...the Crazy-for-Books blog hop is just the thing to keep me busy doing other things instead.
Wolf Hall is great, but it is one of those books that simply needs to be read consciously in order to be appreciated, and I haven't been finding much quiet-enough-to-really-concentrate time lately. I've drained my glass of wine (it's night--beverage of choice = wine) so I should be all settled and comfy and concentrate-y, but I'm not. I need to get my girls to bed (and read to them beforehand). Then I'll have a couple of good reading hours before I need to go pick up my hunny at the airport.
Sounds like a plan--if I can convince myself to save the book hopping for tomorrow. Tomorrow morning, with coffee. Sounds great (morning's beverage of choice whilst reading = coffee).
I've come to realize that I have a lot more time for reading books that can be consumed in small snippets than I have time for reading books that require longer stretches of solitude. It's work finding quiet time in my house!
Off to read about more blizzards to my girls (The Long Winter is no joke--it was a long winter.) Sorry for the ramble...enjoy the hop! (and leave me a comment so I can make sure to visit you too!)
