I love book/movie comparisons.

Andi, I hope you get some time to relax and enjoy some good books this summer...I always enjoy reading your thoughts!

Aths, Miss Entropia was fabulous! It sealed my new infatuation with Unbridled Books. I'm hoping to read another book or two of theirs this year.Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-91037494512002315262011-06-03T12:33:31.114-07:002011-06-03T12:33:31.114-07:00Belle, I started doing the after-school-year-organ...Belle, I started doing the after-school-year-organization project and am thinking that I'll be adding in some of those younger titles this summer just for fun. I look forward to seeing what you get your hands on in the next couple of months!

JoAnn, after reading Revolutionary Road, I'm curious to know more about Yates. I remember seeing you mention him, but I didn't read the posts because I didn't want it to affect my first impressions...I'll go check it out now.

Jennifer, I definitely have times when I need a little break from reading, but then there's always the crazy spurts that make up for it. :) I thought that RR would be more depressing than it was. It might depend on how much you identify with the characters? I was just constantly amazed at the characterization and brilliancy in writing.Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-31293821970020478952011-06-03T11:25:26.358-07:002011-06-03T11:25:26.358-07:00I loved Miss Entropia!! The college where I work is still in session, but I get something of a break from the online classes I usually teach. May is a hectic month and I'm sort of glad to put it behind me (even if it means I'm one month closer to a new and bigger age). I'm going to have to read 14 books this month in order to make it to the 1/2 mark for 100. I think I'm going to have to read some shorter books or middle school books that are lying around.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-86816131609038075102011-06-01T23:10:27.312-07:002011-06-01T23:10:27.312-07:00Lisa, I totally agree about Richard Yates. Glad to hear that his short stories follow suit.

Gabriel, I'm so glad to hear that...I kept thinking that maybe it was my fault (being in a rush to finish the book in time for book club) but I just found very little to love in the book. It was like one of those Disney books that they write after the film...uninspired.

Rebecca, so nice to meet you. :) Isn't Belle fabulous? I started looking at my summer calendar tonight...it sure disappears quickly, doesn't it? Fortunately, making plans and goals and lists with books is one of my favorite things...oh the possibilities!Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-57760432857996141302011-06-01T21:41:29.009-07:002011-06-01T21:41:29.009-07:00New follower here!
