I love a book that makes learning fun. :)Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-33243216535462506902010-11-13T12:26:45.109-08:002010-11-13T12:26:45.109-08:00Great review - thorough yet concise. And especially for this one being largely about science, I was impressed. :)

JoAnn--I wasn't that interested in the synopsis of either book, but I'm sucker for good writing. I'm going to have to take another look at The Devil in the White City.

Okie--don't you feel so much better with my permission granted? ;) There's a pretty low level of skimming to be done here, compared to most NF, but sometimes it's nice to know if every scene is vital.Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-69709568402548515322010-11-10T15:52:05.732-08:002010-11-10T15:52:05.732-08:00Sounds interesting. Larson's The Devil in the White City was an outstanding audiobook and I'm sure it would have been just as enjoyable in print. I hadn't heard about Thunderstruck, but I'll take a look at it - thanks!JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13691864361197071517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-41349702421772074232010-11-10T01:31:39.035-08:002010-11-10T01:31:39.035-08:00It's so hard to find well-written, engaging no...It's so hard to find well-written, engaging non-fiction.
