Washington. There are so many things to learn from this book--hard work, continuing in the face of incredible odds, doing the impossible through sheer determination, and the discussion of race relations.Heidi’sbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15647096496574605262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-72041065996131180122011-07-20T05:51:32.050-07:002011-07-20T05:51:32.050-07:00Love your list! But reading should be fun, too--and Shakespeare's comedies and Wilde's plays should be more widely read--so there's much to say about your little syllabus here! =)

And we could probably use a lot more non-fiction, too!Enbrethilielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03414765854670926854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-31225742939204570332011-07-19T09:09:14.586-07:002011-07-19T09:09:14.586-07:00A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (for the girls) and LOTR ...A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (for the girls) and LOTR (for the boys) ... love it!
