Thanks for sharing about the Yoshimoto & Wilson collections. I have marked them as to read on goodreads so I won't forget them. Hopefully they will provide additional fodder for my 2013 short story reading project.
-JayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-82309567888534417302012-07-20T22:00:36.627-07:002012-07-20T22:00:36.627-07:00Yeah, you've got some major goals on your plat...Yeah, you've got some major goals on your plate already! But so much it a matter of timing and phases in your life - I know I definitely go through periods where the goals I want to focus on are different than they were the year before.Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151339860580266808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243923798905252664.post-30303174464993475712012-07-20T21:57:56.897-07:002012-07-20T21:57:56.897-07:00I wonder why the novellas didn't change my vie...I wonder why the novellas didn't change my viewpoint about them? Maybe they just still felt long (or I was so focused on my goal that everything else was overshadowed?) Did I tell you that I'm going to try to finish the rest of them next month. I bought the whole collection so I'm feeling new-books-on-the-shelf guilt.

Interesting about Binocular Vision. But...I usually don't read short stories either. But, the novella reading challenge last year kind of changed my mind about that. The National Book Awards nominated a short story collection in 2011 called Binocular Vision. I was wondering if that would be good.

It sounds like you made some great selections for your young adult son.Heidi’sbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15647096496574605262noreply@blogger.com
